The hotel at Riverwalk Casino will be getting a makeover from top to bottom.
Starting Sunday, the hotel will be remodeled floor by floor, including new wallpaper, paint, carpet, bed linens and more. Some furniture will also be replaced.
“At Riverwalk Casino, we have taken our guests’ feedback into consideration and are confident that this refresh project will only increase their comfort,” general manager Ginny Tzotzolas said. “As an involved organization in the Vicksburg community, we’re invested in improving our great city.”
The hotel has 80 total rooms between five floors. The biggest projects will take place on the fifth floor, where the suites will all be seeing upgrades and two of the rooms will be undergoing full-scale changes.
“That will be receiving some additional upgrades. We are basically turning the fifth floor into a more upgraded space,” Tzotzolas said. “The suites will be getting all new furnishings and two of the suites will be undergoing major renovation.”
Tzotzolas said they hope to have all the projects completed by Memorial Day, but if projects run over, they may be forced to complete the remodel in June.
“Hotels need to be refreshed every few years because of wear and tear, so part of it is normal business procedure,” Tzotzolas said of the remodel. “The fifth floor in particular, we think it is important to provide the best experience possible for our customers so this is our way of doing that.”
