Guns taken from parked car on Farmer Street

A .25-caliber Jiminez handgun and a .38-caliber Ruger revolver were reported taken about 7:20 a.m. Wednesday from a car parked in the 100 block of Farmer St.

Vicksburg police made the following arrests Wednesday:

• A warrant was served on Fred Stacey Lynn, 55, 2360 LeTourneau Road.

• A warrant was served on Jonathan Daniel Chandler, 5796 Jeff Davis Road.

• Christian Nathaniel Wackenstedt, 25, 501 Fairways Drive Apt. 6 D, was arrested about 8:49 a.m. in the 3400 block of Pemberton Square Boulevard on charges of failure to stop a motor vehicle when an officer signals, no car tag and reckless driving.

• Davonte Jaque Buck, 20, 2630 Roosevelt Ave., was arrested about 9:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of Hannah Street on a charge of simple assault.

• David Matthew Cochran, 28, 1833 Redbone Road, was arrested about 9:53 p.m. in the 3100 block of South Frontage Road on a charge of contempt of court.

Police responded to the following calls Wednesday:

• 6:39 p.m., 3400 block of Halls Ferry Road, shoplifting.

• 8:12 a.m., 2600 block of Roosevelt Avenue, simple assault — bodily injury.

• 2:21 p.m., 1500 block of Parkside Drive, vehicle fire.

• 9:17 p.m., 900 block of Walnut Street, lost or stolen property.

• 12:33 a.m., 4800 block of U.S. 61 South, shoplifting.

• 12:26 a.m., 200 block of R L Chase Circle, malicious mischief.

• 2:16 a.m., 800 block of Grange Hall Road, theft of utilities.
