Austin Booth pitched four innings of shutout ball for Hinds in Game 3, and relievers Patrick Hodges and Jase Dalton managed to keep Jones (38-11) from making a late-inning comeback.

Hinds’ big sixth inning gave it a 5-0 lead. Miguel Morgan hit a three-run home run for Jones in the seventh inning, and the Bobcats loaded the bases with no outs in the ninth.

One run scored on a fielder’s choice, but the Eagles picked a runner off of second base and Dalton got Robbie Woody to line out to him to end the game.
