Martha Gremillion Eldridge, 78, of Vicksburg, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018.

Martha was born to the late Harry and Avon Farley Gremillion on July 8, 1939 in Rapides Parish, La.

She graduated from Fair Park High School in Shreveport, La., and received a B.S. in education from Louisiana Tech University in 1960.

In June of 1960, Martha married the love of her life, Neal Eldridge, and they were married over 51 years when he passed away in 2011. In recent years, she was living in Flora near her son Chris, and with family friend, Ede Lee.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Von Eldridge Wilkinson and spouse Jerry of Spring, Texas; her sons, Don Joseph Eldridge and spouse Tracie of Vicksburg and Christopher Neal Eldridge and spouse Stephanie of Flora; her sister, Kandy Sue Gremillion Broughton and spouse Jimmy of Benton, Louisiana; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11 a.m at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Bryan Abel officiating.

Glenwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
