Warren Central’s annual youth baseball camp, originally scheduled to begin on Tuesday, has been postponed until the week of June 11 because of the threat of inclement weather.

Subtropical Storm Alberto is forecast to make landfall along the Gulf Coast early this week and could bring several days of rain to Central Mississippi.

Warren Central’s camp will now be held June 11-14 at Viking Field. The camp is for children ages 5-14, and focuses on teaching baseball fundamentals and sportsmanship through various drills and games. Instructors include Warren Central coaches and players.

The cost is $100 per camper. Registration is at the WC baseball fieldhouse from 7:30 to a.m. on Monday, June 11. The camp will run from 8 a.m. to noon each day.
