Why does not someone cut the dead pine trees at the Halls Ferry/I-20 intersection?

Why does not someone fill some dirt in the ditch in front of Trustmark Bank on the North Frontage Road?

And why does not one of our elected representatives introduce legislation mandating a run-off election between the two highest vote getters in the general elections, so that the person elected gets over 50% of the votes?
