A Vicksburg man faces drug charges after his arrest Wednesday by officers with the Vicksburg police NET Team.

Lt. Johnnie Edwards said Joe Rushing Jr., 46, 1517 First North St., is accused of selling marijuana to an undercover officer during an investigation of drug activity in the city.

In other cases:

• $4,416 were reportedly taken Tuesday from Cedar Grove, 2200 Oak St.

• Someone attempted to take a 2006 Toyota Avalon from the parking lot of the Motel 6, 4127 I-20 Frontage Road, about 8:34 p.m. Tuesday.

Vicksburg police made the following arrests Sunday and Monday:

• Theral Donell Terry, 60, 4822 Pine Grove Road, Utica, was arrested about 11:43 p.m. Wednesday on the 4200 block of Clay Street on charges of first-offense DUI, seatbelt violation and carless driving.

• Warrants were served Wednesday on Latonya Rena Woodland, 43, 1790 Fisher Ferry Road.

• Jean Vanessa Lyons, 46, 125 Drake Road, was arrested about 11:12 a.m. Wednesday at the Vicksburg Police Department on charges of contempt of court.

• Willis Junior Jordan, 58, 2209 Pearl St., was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday on Walnut Street on charges of public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and having an open container of alcohol.

• Eric Dewayne Smith, 47, 727 Adams St., was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Walnut and South streets on a charge of indecent exposure.

• Shcobey Harris Wildee, 20, 1607 Lane St., was arrested about 1:41 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Lane Street on a charge of contempt of court.

• Tiffany Akeelah Warfield, 25, 903 Wabash St., was arrested about 3:16 p.m. Wednesday at the police department on a charge of contempt of court.

• Verniqua Lashae Hariatta DeFrance, 21, was arrested about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 4800 block of U.S. 61 South on two counts of contempt of court.

• Derrick Quasae McGee Jr., 23, 102 Enchanted Drive, was arrested Tuesday at the police department on two counts of contempt of court.

• Chauncey Rena Thomas, 27, 4032 Old Highway 18, Hermanville was arrested about 6:06 p.m. Tuesday at U.S. 61 South and Grange Hall Road on a charge of contempt of court.

• A warrant was served Tuesday on Samuel Devaughn Harris, 41, 60 Eastover Drive.

• Kristopher Devonte Farmer, 25, 2072 Shady Lane, Jackson, was arrested about 1:23 p.m. Monday on  I-20 on a charge of having an expired driver’s license and speeding.

• Eddie Lee Sizer, 39, 1203 Second North St., was arrested about 4:10 p.m. Monday in the 2200 block of Clay Street on a charge of trespassing.

• Shonita Monekee Green, 42, 1513 First North St., was arrested about 4:40 p.m. at the police department on a charge of contempt of court.

• Ronald Lee Anderson Jr., 42, 1800 China Grove Road, was arrested about 8:48 p.m. at Halls Ferry Road and Fisher Ferry Road on a charge of contempt of court.

• Dorothy Leann Touchberry, 32, 668 Elton Drive, was arrested about 10:25 p.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of U.S. 61 North on a charge of contempt of court.

• Warrants were served Sunday on Dana Michelle McElroy, 48, 164 Elizabeth Circle.

• Kiara Sharue Wilson, 27, 103 Elm Lane, was arrested about 8:47 a.m. Saturday at the police department on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, having an expired driver’s license and having no insurance.

• Austin Anderson Jr., 49, 810 Queen St., was arrested about 2:48 p.m. Friday on charges of having an expired drivers license and no insurance. He was also served with a warrant.

• Warrants were served Friday on Jordan Tyler Martin, 26, 1105 Monroe St.

• A warrant was served Friday on James Everett Ogle, 54, 1550 Culkin Road.

• Tyree Lydell Miller, 19, 102 Elm St., was arrested Friday at the police department on charges of grand larceny and commercial burglary.
