Funeral services for Yolonda Tinsley are to be held on Tuesday, Aug. 9 in W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. with the Bishop Joseph Willis officiating; interment shall follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation is to be held one hour prior to the funeral.

Yolonda Tinsley passed away on Monday, Aug. 6, at her home surrounded by family. She was 43. 

She was retired from the U.S. Army having served for 20 years. She was a veteran of the Iraq War and a member of the Audie Murphy Club. She was a former member of Refuge Temple Church.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Mary Williams.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Tinsley, Sr. of Charles City, Virginia; her son, Daniel Tinsley, Jr.  of Charles City, Virginia; her daughter, Adriana Stewart of Charles City, Virginia.; her parents, Mark and Sandra Stewart Williams of Vicksburg; her brothers, Mack Stewart of Petersburg, Virginia and Tejerald Stewart of Vicksburg; her Godbrothers, Chris Lockridge and Larry Raymond and a host of nieces.
