Food left unattended on a stove is believed to be the cause of a Wednesday night fire that destroyed a townhouse at 691 Belva Drive, Fire Chief Danczyk said.
Firefighters were called to the blaze about 11:12 p.m. and arrived to find the fire fully involved. Danczyk said the fire was contained to the townhouse, adding firewalls in the structure prevented it from spreading to neighboring homes and saving the building. No one was injured.
Engines 5 and 8 and Ladder 3, and an ambulance responded to the call.
