Man indicted for shooting man in March

A Vicksburg man is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a stolen firearm in an indictment handed down by the Warren County grand jury.

Elgin Darnell Proctor, 33, 801 Clay St., is accused of shooting Ricky Johnson Jr. with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun during an argument in March.

According to the indictment, the Glock Model 17 handgun reportedly used in the shooting had been reported stolen from a home in Warren County.

According to police reports, Proctor shot Johnson, 24, multiple times during an argument involving himself, his girlfriend, her sister and Johnson at a home in the 1400 block of Oakland Street.

In another case, Javis Dixon, 22, 4114 N. Washington St., was indicted on charges of statutory rape of a victim under 14 and sexual battery of a victim under age 14, involving an incident that occurred in February.

Other indictments include:

• Martez Jamal Shelton, 24, 313 Evergreen Drive, sexual battery of a victim under 14 and molesting.

• Anthony Isiah Thomas, 31, 106 Robert E. Lee Blvd., two counts of sexual battery of a victim under age 14.

• Jimmy Dale Reid, 41, 1748 Old Highway 27, three counts of possession of contraband within a jail or correctional facility. He is accused of smuggling cell phones into the Warren Count Jail.

• Cierra Patrice Flowers, 29, 1205 China St., felony malicious mischief.

Shelia Denise Thomas, 44, 502 Longwood Drive, Edwards, fleeing or eluding a law enforcement officer.

• Derrick Lashawn Brown. 40, 203 Signal Hill Drive, fourth-offense DUI.

• Derrick Lashone Chiplin, 44, 1312 Bowmar Ave., possession of a controlled substance.

• Amy Marie White, 49, 675 Burnt House Road, possession of a controlled substance.

• Ricarldo Lydell Jones, 49, 128 Alcorn Drive, two indictments for sale of controlled substance.

• Dwayne Ruben Carson, 38, 812 Avenue C, three indictments for sale of a controlled substance.

• Phillip James Carson, 31, 2521 Oak St., sale of a controlled substance.

• David G. Ogan, 65, 5 Brookside Court, Nashville Tennessee, fourth-offense DUI.

• Roderick Mashun Davis, 34, 1719 Military Ave., sale of a controlled substance.

• Doc Davis Jr., 37, 1950 Hope St., sale of a controlled substance.

• Phillip Lewis Moore, 35, 1513 First North St., possession of a controlled substance in jail. He is accused of having methamphetamine in the Warren County Jail.

• Antonio Carl Gray, 21, 1425 Virginia Lloyd Road, Raymond, and Thomas Terrell Gray, 27, 1435 Virginia Lloyd, Raymond, non residential burglary. Antonio Gray was also indicted with Montrell Keshun Evans, 20, 1230 Virginia Lloyd Road Raymond on a charge of non residential burglary involving a Dec. 22, 2017 burglary.

• James Henry Smith, 56, 174 Cherry St., non-residential burglary.

• Delzione Lamar Gleese, 27, 902 Blossom Lane, possession of a stolen firearm.

• Caleb Tyler Alford, 30, 122 Billy Alford Road, Marion, Louisiana, felony bad check and embezzlement under contract.

• Demarcquette Larenza Foster, 23, 115 Kendra Drive, and Jacorius Keeron Watson, 20, 1000 Harris St., burglary of a dwelling.

• Venshada Neisha Clayton, 28, no address given, burglary of a dwelling.

• Krystal White, 33, 147 Nort Point Drive, Yazoo City, forgery.

• Willie Dwight Harris, 31, 924 Meadow St., and Cedric McKinzey Holt, 47, 176 Union Ave., larceny-motor vehicle, grand larceny and burglary of a dwelling.

• Robert Lee Jordan, 20, 318 Bayou Blvd., possession of a stolen firearm.

• Noel Larry Jackson III, 25, 205 Willow Drive, false pretenses.
