Man turns himself in on statutory rape charge

A Vicksburg man has been arrested on a warrant charging him with statutory rape.
Vicksburg police Lt. Johnnie Edwards said Cameron Frederick Calvin, 22, 138 Elizabeth Circle, turned himself in Wednesday at the Vicksburg Police Department. Further information on the case was unavailable.
In other cases:
• Someone attempted to use a stolen bank debit card and a stolen credit card to buy $1,153.66 in merchandise from GameStop, 2130 Iowa Blvd., about 2:29 p.m. Wednesday.
• Shots were reported fired about 7:17 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Fort Hill Drive and Downhill Drive.
• Shots were reported fired about 7:17 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of North Farmer Street.
• $400 was reported taken about 9:09 Wednesday from a home in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street.
Vicksburg police made the following arrests Wednesday:
• Bobby Eugene Graves, 54, 520 Berryman Road, was arrested about 5:19 a.m. at Berryman Road and Clay Street on charges of first-offense DUI, no insurance, suspended driver’s license, and an expired tag. He was also served with warrants.
• Adeline Denise Bingham, 29, 300 North Poplar St., was arrested about 7:34 a.m. at the Vicksburg Police Department on a charge of simple assault-creating fear.
• Larry Darnell Barnes Jr., 30, 2616 Togo St., was arrested about 8:47 a.m. at the police station on five counts of contempt of court.
• Rhonda Elaine James Brewer, 46, 1447 Parkside Drive, was arrested about 9:30 a.m. at the police station on two counts of contempt of court.
• Elizabeth Rene Carloss, 47, 133 Liberty St., Osyka, was arrested about 11 a.m. on Fifth North Street on a charge of contempt of court. She was also served with a warrant.
• A warrant was served on Johnny Bernard Curry Jr., 19, 6285 Mississippi 27 South.
• Madison Ann Boswell, 21, 1178 Wells Road, was arrested about 12:10 p.m. at the police station on two counts of contempt of court.
• Donald Ray Neighbors, 38, 277 Ironwood St., was arrested about noon on a at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Openwood Street on a charge of misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
• Tiffany Leann Crutchfield, 21, 3500 Old Highway 27, was arrested about 1 p.m. at the police department on a charge of petit larceny.
• Orlando Lionel Shorter, 40, 313 Evergreen St., was arrested about noon at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Openwood Street on charges of having an expired tag, no insurance and driving with a suspended license. He was also served with a warrant.
• Dwight Gibson, 49, 604 Mississippi 541 South, Magee, was arrested about 11:42 a.m. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Openwood Street on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
• Quartevist B. Armstrong, 34, 230 Denby Drive, was arrested about 3 p.m. at the police station on a charge of contempt of court.
• Erik Denzell Washington, 21, 280 Foxtail Road, was arrested about 4:13 p.m. in the 3200 block of North Washington Street on charges of speeding, driving with a suspended license and a seatbelt violation.
• Warrants were served on Iris Lorenza Naylor, 38, 1900 Baldwin Ferry Road.
