Originally hired by former Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze, Longo will serve as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach after two seasons at Ole Miss, where he helped the Rebels rank in the top 20 in total offense each year.

The Tar Heels also hired Lonnie Galloway as receivers coach and Brandon Jones, who will serve as offensive line coach. Galloway spent the last four years at Louisville, while Jones spent two seasons at Texas Tech.

Ole Miss named Mike McIntyre as defensive coordinator Monday after firing Wesley McGriff following a 35-3 Egg Bowl loss.
