A couple of signs of spring are being affected by this weekend’s forecast of rain and thunderstorms.

The Vicksburg Girls Softball Association has canceled its Fun-Day Softball Camp scheduled for Saturday at Halls Ferry Park. It was the first of two sessions set for this winter, and the second one on Feb. 2 will go on as scheduled.

The camp is for players in the 6U to 16U age divisions. The cost is $10 per player and includes lunch and instruction in hitting, fielding, throwing and base running.
