A Vicksburg woman has died from injuries she received in a one-car wreck on Fisher Ferry Road Friday night.

Vicksburg police Lt. Johnnie Edwards said Marniqua Shaylisa Stamps, 20, died Saturday at University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she and Christina Howard, 23, also of Vicksburg, were taken after the 11:59 p.m. wreck. Howard is in serious condition at UMMC.

According to police reports, the 2007 Nissan Altima driven by Howard was southbound on Fisher Ferry when it went off the left side of the road, struck a tree and burst into flames. Both women were taken directly to UMMC.
