Funeral services for Gail Carr Martin are to be held on Saturday, Feb., 23, 2019, at the Vicksburg City Auditorium at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mincer Minor Jr., officiating; interment shall follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Lakeview Funeral Home. There will be a visitation held on Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, in the funeral home from 1-7 p.m. with family present from 6-7 p.m.

Gail Carr Martin passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, in Merit Health River Region. She was 60.

She was an insurance processor until her health failed in 2007 and was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Earl; her grandparents, Corine and Leon Carr; one sister Julian Jones; and niece Erin Sims.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Lester Martin Sr.; one son, Lester Martin Jr.; one daughter, Qualon Martin; mother, Deloris Sims; three sisters, Anita Earl of Las Vegas; Patricia White and Shanna Sims of Vicksburg; four brothers, Johnny Earl of Portland; John Wince, Tommie Wince and James Wince, all of Vicksburg; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild; seven godchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives.
