After reviewing security footage from Sports Force Parks on The Mississippi, investigators with the Vicksburg Police Department did not find any evidence of what some had reported as an attempted abduction Thursday evening.

Lt. Johnnie Edwards, Vicksburg Police Department’s criminal investigations commander, confirmed Thursday morning that a report had been filed stating a 2-year-old child said an unknown man grabbed her arm while she was playing on the playground at the park.

Edwards said the child told her bother the man grabbed her arm when she went down the playground slide. Her brother went to tell his father, who was watching a baseball game, and when the pair returned to the playground, the man was gone.
