Officials with the Vicksburg Warren School District announced late Monday afternoon that schools will remain closed Tuesday, April 16.

“After consulting with Warren County Emergency Management, it has been decided to close all VWSD schools and offices on Tuesday, April 16 due to ongoing power outages and the continued clean-up of dangerous debris on roadways caused by Saturday’s storm.”

The closure also affects all planned after-school events.

School officials expect classes to resume Wednesday, April 17.
