It is with great sadness that the family of Frieda Keith Elam announce her passing on April 23, 2019, at age 77.

Frieda was born May 30, 1941, in Scott County Virginia.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Timothy Elam, Barry Elam (Kristine), Penny Melvin (Mark), and Pam Marascalco (Chuck).

Frieda will also be remembered by her seven grandchildren, Daniel, Maddie, Cecelia, Lillian, Caroline, Elizabeth, Copper, and great-grandchild, Noah.
She is survived by bothers Larry and Gary Keith.

Frieda is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Curtis E. Elam; and her parents Baker and Lillian Keith; sisters, Faye Donelson, Nancy Smythers, Peggy Farmer, Joan Dorton and Rhea Whetsel.
While Curtis served in the Air Force for 22 years, Frieda traveled with him and her children to Spain, England and throughout the United States. After retirement, they made their home in Vicksburg, where her husband worked for Entergy Grand Gulf Nuclear Station.
Frieda was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker, as well as a great cook. After retirement, she and her husband, Curtis loved to travel through out the United States in their RV visiting lakes and campsites along way.
A funeral service in memory of Frieda will be held 11 am on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Holston View Cemetery in Scott County, Virginia.
