Funeral services for Gloria J. Taylor will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at New Mount Elem M. B. Church with the Rev. Leonard Walker officiating.

Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.

Gloria J. Taylor passed away April 29, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home following a lengthy illness. She was 68. 

She had worked as a bus driver for the Vicksburg Warren School District.  She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Lewis, and mother, Helen Taylor.

She is survived by her three sons, Willie Lee Wright Jr. of Vicksburg, James Lee Starks of Tulsa, Okla., and Tommy Smith of Utica; her three daughters, Helen Marie Berry of Vicksburg, Annette Berry of Biloxi, and April Berry Ward of Hermanville; her four sisters, Justeen Landrum of Bentonia, Precious Augustine of New Orleans, La., Carolyn Johnson of Yazoo City and Tilda Mae Wesley of Vicksburg, her 15 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
