Multiple arrests made in connection with drive-by shootings

Vicksburg Police arrested several people Thursday connected to Monday’s running gun battle down Drummond Street.

Jshon Melvin Ross, 22, who was wanted in the shooting was one of those arrested Thursday. Ross was charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and drive by shooting.

The other suspect connected to the shooting, 21-year-old Keyuadre Futlz, of Edwards, remains wanted by authorities.

Fultz is suspected of being the driver of a vehicle involved in Monday’s drive-by shooting, while Ross is believed to have been the passenger.

If anyone has information on his location, they are asked to call the Vicksburg Police Department at 601-636-2511 or Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477).

Robert Butler Jr., 23, Latanya Denise Carroll, 46, were also arrested and charged with accessory after the fact.

Carroll appeared before Judge Angela Carpenter Thursday in Vicksburg Municipal Court. Carpenter set Carroll’s bond at $5,000.

Butler and Ross will make their initial court appearances Friday.

In other arrests pertaining to Monday’ shooting on Drummond Street, police arrested Damian Lamone Carroll,24, and Brandin Jashia Lane, 28.

Carroll was charged with weapon possession by a convicted felon. Lane was charged with weapon possession by a convicted felon and possession of a controlled Substance.

Carroll and Lane were occupants of the silver pickup truck, which crashed, in that drive-by shooting battle.

In their release, officials with the Vicksburg Police said they expect to make more arrests.
