Woman charged in shooting at Relax Inn

A Vicksburg woman was being held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond accused of shooting a man during an argument Friday at the Relax Inn, 1313 Walnut St.

Municipal Judge Penny Lawson set bond for Tyiesha Croskey, 21, 770 Grange Hall Road, at an initial appearance Monday in Municipal Court. Croskey also has a hold placed on her by the Madison Parish, La., Sheriff’s Office for a previous offense in Louisiana, jail records show.

According to police reports, the incident occurred about 10:03 p.m. Friday when an argument between Croskey and Johnny Sanders, 29, of Vicksburg, escalated and she shot Sanders.

Sanders was taken to Merit Health River Region, where he was treated in the hospital emergency room and released.
