Margretia Nash Coker

Margretia Nash Coker passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019. She was 84 years old.

She was born in Hatley and lived in Valley Park for many years. She retired from the Bank of Anguilla, in Cary, where she was a bank manager.

She was a member of the Vicksburg Church of Christ.

Margretia is preceded in death by her husband, R.E Coker; her parents, Guyton L. Nash and Lowell Riene Herdnon; her son, Steve Coker; and her sister, Carolyn Gray.

She is survived by her two daughters, Teresia C. White (Bendel) and Denise Coker; her two sisters, LaRue Walden and Barbara Stokes; her three grandchildren, Ryan (Amanda) Kindrix, Rachel (Curtis) Dickey and Kala (Craig) Williamson, and her 10 great-grandchildren as well.

A visitation will be at the Vicksburg Church of Christ Saturday, June 8, 2019, at 9 a.m., with a funeral service following immediately at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Valley Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include Irby Summerlin, Bill Haynes, Buster Miller, Barry Nash, and Glenn White. Honorary pallbearers will be Joyce Nell Grey, Bill & Kate Haynes, Buster & Linda Miller, Clyde Mize, Reggie Crawford, Lindsey Theobald, members of Vicksburg Church of Christ, and long time friends of Valley Park.

Brother Larry Macomber will be officiating the service.

Any memorials can be made to a charity of your choice.
