Three indicted on copper wire theft from AT&T

Three people have been indicted on multiple charges involving the theft of copper wire from AT&T valued at about $1,500.

Sandi Gaye May, 58, 4813 Nailor Road, and Kevin E. Sanders, 35, and John Wayne Williamson, 37, both of 15 Fog Drive, are charged with malicious mischief and receiving stolen property in the reported theft of about 80 feet of AT&T cable in January.

The trio was arrested Jan. 16 after an AT&T representative on his way to answer a call about lost phone service saw them on U.S. 61 near the LeTourneau community attempting to load the cable into a pickup truck after cutting it from the pole, followed them and called the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Other indictments include:

• Dwayne Williams, 51, 461 Gibson Road; aggravated assault-domestic violence. He is accused of striking a woman with an axe.

• Veronica Lewis, 54, 479 Funches Road; possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.

• Heaven Leigh Brewer, 24, 3705 Halls Ferry Road; possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.

• Bershard Devaun Brooks, 20, 43 Randle St.; possession of a controlled substance-cocaine, fleeing or eluding a law enforcement officer.

• Cassie Moreland, 37, 114 Belva Drive; possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.

• Bobby Eugene Graves, 54, 520 Berryman Road; possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.

• Phillip Lewis Moore, 36, 1513 First North St.; possession of a weapon after felony conviction. He was indicted as a habitual offender.

• Moses Michael Ellis, 23, 301 Greenbriar; possession of a stolen firearm.

• Ledell Franklin, 29, 1309 Bowmar Ave.; possession of a weapon after felony conviction and possession of a stolen firearm.

• Kenneth Lionel Porter, 20, 30 Branding Cove, Byram; four counts of vehicle burglary.

• Nathan Lofton, 40, 2015 Oak St.; failure to register as a sex offender. He was indicted as a habitual offender.

• Gregory E. Fultz, 46, 3720 Parkview St.; failure to register as a sex offender.

• Jacoby Jamal Walker, 26, 1612 Bodley St.; failure to register as a sex offender.

• Jesse Lee Holman, 33, 817 Patton St.; failure to register as a sex offende. He was indicted as a habitual offender.

• Donnell Judge,42, 71 Mingos Road; failure to register as a sex offender.

• Walter Ross, 42, 426 Hwy. 65, Lake Providence, La.; embezzlement under contract.

• Paula Pettway Hunt, 49, 25 Murray Road; embezzlement. She is accused of taking $144,500 from the Warren County Tax Collector’s office.

• Steven McFarland, 34, 1190 Georgetown; grand larceny in the theft of a radio from Warren County.
