Man shot, dies in emergency room

Warren County authorities are seeking information about the events leading to the Friday night death of a 21-year man from multiple gunshot wounds.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said the man has not been identified pending notification of family.

He said deputies received a call about 9:15 p.m. Friday about a one-car wreck in the 8400 block of Halls Ferry Road. When they arrived at the scene, deputies found a northbound Nissan Altima went off the right side of road and into a wooded area,

The man, who was in the car, was taken to Merit Health River Region, where he later died in the emergency room.

Pace said authorities have no motive or suspects in the shooting at this time. He said anyone with information about the shooting should call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477) or 1-866-481-8477.
