Funeral services for Henry Jones Stampley will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, in the Chapel of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Reginald Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Stampley passed away on Thursday, June 27, at the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Veterans Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 73. He was retired from Anderson-Tully and the Isle of Capri security, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Jones Sr. and Rosetta Stampley.

He is survived by his four daughters, Bobbie Jean Stampley of Vicksburg, Jerline Denise Stampley of Fairfield, Calif., Cassandra Judge Ricks of Vicksburg and Earnestine Judge of Sacramento, Calif.; two sons, Jerry Stampley of Vicksburg and Edward Stampley of Detroit, Mich.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
