Funeral services for Matilda Watson will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at House of Peace Worship Church with the Rev. Linda Sweezer officiating. Interment will follow at the Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.  

Mrs. Watson passed away Friday, June 28, at her home following a sudden illness.  She was 51. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Clara Ross; and her daughter Natalie Ross. 

She is survived by her husband, Michael Watson of Vicksburg; her sons, Johnnie Ross and Michael Charles Watson Jr., both of Vicksburg; her daughter, Joanna Ross of Vicksburg; her two brothers, James Ross Jr. of Vicksburg and Benjamin Ross of Minneapolis, Minn.; her five sisters, Brendia Ross, Mary Ross, Carolyn Ross, all of Vicksburg, and Carolyn Holmes of Clarksdale and Verenzia Williams of Toledo, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
