Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Dontrell Lamonte Gibson Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Magnolia Baptist Church 1144 Rodney Road, Port Gibson. Visitation by invitation only will be Friday at C J Williams Mortuary Services. A public visitation will be Saturday from 1 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sunday, Dontrell will lie in repose at Magnolia Baptist Church from noon until the hour of service.

Dontrell transitioned on Sunday, July 21, 2019, due to an automobile accident on Highway 61 North in Vicksburg a few hours before his 34th birthday. He’s a graduate of the Class of 2003 from Port Gibson High School where he served as class president and he was voted most popular, best dressed and most supportive.

He was gainfully employed with Grand Gulf until his demise.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Odoms Jr.; and his sister, Jamia Odoms.

He leaves to mourn his transiting; one son, Latreveon Montrell Gibson; his godson, Kenmani Ellis; his mother Mary Lee Gibson; two sisters, Dominisha A. Gibson and Katreno Neal;  five brothers, Antonia Anderson, Lapravean (Punkin) Derby, Jarvis Banks, Cedrick Savage, Kendrick Richardson, many family members and friends.
