PCA throws another no-hitter in win over Greenville-St. Joe

: Porter’s Chapel Academy pitcher Hannah Embry struck out all 12 batters she faced in a four-inning perfect game Tuesday against Benton Academy. PCA won 12-0.

Porter’s Chapel Academy is making no-hitters look routine.

Hannah Embry and Abby Morgan pitched two innings apiece and combined on a no-hitter Monday as PCA routed Greenville-St. Joseph 13-0.

It was the third no-hitter in four games for the Lady Eagles (11-8).

Jenn Smith led the offense by going 3-for-3 with a double, RBI and two runs scored. Brittnee Martin was 2-for-2 with two RBIs, and Anna Grace White hit a two-run inside-the-park home run.

PCA scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning and won it in four via the mercy rule.

PCA will play again Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Benton Academy.
