Funeral services for James Harold Thomas will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 in the Chapel of W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. 

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. 

Mr. Thomas passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at St. Dominic’s Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 65.

He had worked at LeTourneau Shipbuilders and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Izora Sunny Thomas Sr.; his sisters, Grace Ivy, Eloise Thomas Ross and Chestine Thomas; his brothers, Lonnie Thomas, Milton Thomas, Dewitt Thomas, Jim  Thomas and Warren Thomas.

He is survived by his three sons, Lonnie Shelton , Paul Thomas and James Thomas Jr., all of Vicksburg; his daughters, Izola Thomas, Lola Thomas and Alisa Redditt, all of Vicksburg; his brother, Thomas C. Thomas, of Vicksburg; and his sisters, Ernestine Thomas Wesley and Cary Tomil Thomas, both of Vicksburg.
