Burnell Williams Sr., a Vicksburg native, passed away at Baptist Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was 61. 

Funeral arrangements are 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Greater Jerusalem M. B. Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kemp Burley officiating.  

He was preceded in death by is parents, Harrison and Fannie Mae Marie Williams; his brothers, Nelson Pankston, Glenn Williams, Bill Williams, Jerry Williams and Larry Donnell Williams .

He is survived by his wife, Linda Williams of Jackson; his two sons, Burnell Williams, Jr of Kansas City, Mo., and Norris Alphonso Williams of Stockbridge, Ga.; his four daughters, Serena James of Louisville, Ky., Arlette Marie Williams of Woodstock, Ga., Cassandra Rochelle Williams of Jonesboro, Ga., and Latisha Shavay Williams of Forest Park, Ga.; his two brothers, Euless Williams of Chicago, Ill., and Alphonso Williams of Vicksburg; his four sisters, Everlena Shakelforth, Baytown, Texas, Fannie Williams of Lawrenceville, Ga., Frances Williams of Alpharetta, Ga., and Beatrice Williams of Los Angeles, Calif.; and 15 grandchildren.
