Glenda Kleinman Burton

Glenda Kleinman Burton was born to Walter Lynd Kleinman “Bee” and Lucille Owsley Kleinman on Sept. 16, 1947. 

Surrounded by her family, she passed away peacefully at home in Vicksburg on Monday, Sept. 9, 2019. 

Glenda grew up in Vicksburg, resided in south Louisiana for 32 years, and returned to her hometown in 2010. She loved Euylas Burton since she was 12 years old.

A graduate of Culkin Academy, she was a retired bookkeeper, devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. Glenda enjoyed quilting and loved to give her quilts to those who would actually use them as intended.

She will be dearly missed and is loved beyond measure.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lois Kleinman; parents, Bee and Lucille Kleinman; mother and father-in-Law, J.D. and Evron Burton; and granddaughter, Addie Noelle Cason. 

She is survived by her husband, Euylas Burton of Vicksburg; daughter, Kelly Rivet (Patrick) of St. Amant, La.; son, Euylas Burton, Jr. “Burt” (Stephanie) of Bogue Chitto; daughter, Lucy Cason (Kemp) of Prairieville, La.; grandchildren, Stephanie Rivet (Kerri), Emily Landry (Mitch), Hayden Burton, Scott Burton, Emma Cason, Christopher Burton and Elizabeth Burton; great-grandchildren, Everett Jordan, Dane Dillon and Canyon Dillon; sisters, Jo Ann Trevilion (Cooper) and Darlene Davidson (Jim) of Vicksburg; and numerous nieces and nephews; lifetime best friend, Jeannie Corbin of Vicksburg. 

Visitation will be at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home in Vicksburg on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, at 9 a.m. A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 11 a.m. 

Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bentonia.

Pallbearers are Hayden Burton, Scott Burton, Christopher Burton, Canyon Dillon, George Ameen, Jr. and Hunter Landers.
