Armed, dangerous suspect wanted in connection to Saturday shooting

Vicksburg Police are searching for a suspect considered armed and dangerous in connection to a Saturday shooting that left one man injured and in critical condition at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Shortly after midnight Saturday, officers were dispatched to Merit Health River Region Medical Center, where they found Mario Marquie Luckett, 31, being treated for a gunshot wound to his buttocks.

Authorities said an unknown person delivered Luckett to the emergency room.

Police are looking for Jacorey Terrell Wright, 36, 235 Smith Road, in reference to this shooting.

Witnesses told police Luckett and Wright had gotten into an argument in the 500 block of Hutson Street, which ultimately led to Wright reportedly shooting Luckett.

Police are asking for help in locating Wright.
