Search for armed, dangerous suspect continues

Vicksburg Police are continuing their search for a man wanted in the Saturday shooting on Hutson Street.

Jacorey Terrell Wright, 36, 235 Smith Road, is accused of shooting Mario Marquie Luckett, 31, during an argument in the 500 block of Hutson Street.

Wright, Vicksburg Police Lt. Johnnie Edwards said, is considered armed and dangerous.

According to police reports, officers were called to Merit Health River Region after midnight Saturday where they found Luckett being treated for a gunshot wound to his buttocks.

Authorities said an unknown person delivered Luckett to the emergency room. He was later transferred to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he was in serious condition, Edwards said.
