The Vicksburg Warren Economic Development Partnership announced Friday that WinField United, a subsidiary of Land O’ Lakes, will locate a regional warehouse and distribution facility at the Ceres Industrial Park.

In the release, the warehouse is aimed at better serving the company’s customer base across the Southeast. The project is expected to create seven full-time jobs.

WinField United will locate at the Ceres spec building, which was recently purchased by Flowers Warehouse, LLC, a Mississippi development company.

According to the release, “WinField United is a leader in the supply of agricultural products and technology, supporting farming operations nationwide in every facet of the farming process. WinField United provides cutting-edge resources to meet the farming industry’s needs.”

The spec building was constructed 24 years ago but had never been occupied.

“We are very excited to have WinField United join our growing business community. Our office has worked closely with their team to make sure that they can make this project happen in Vicksburg as fast and as efficiently as possible,” Pablo Diaz, President & CEO of the Vicksburg Warren Economic Development Partnership, said. “We celebrate their decision to be part of Warren County and we look forward to supporting them as they ramp up and grow in our community.”

Margaret Gilmer, chairwoman of the Warren County Port Commission, applauded the announcement.

“We welcome WinField United to Warren County and to the CERES Industrial Park. We are excited to see them occupy the spec building and also excited about the fact that they are taking the last existing building available at Ceres,” Gilmer said. “The Port Commission will continue to focus on attracting more companies to the region by continuing to promote our greenfield sites to companies nationwide.”
