GREENWOOD — A family memorial service for William Howard Roberson of Memphis, Tenn., was held Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, with Father Patrick James Curley of Vicksburg presiding.

Mr. Roberson, 78, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, in Memphis, following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Greenwood to Jessye Evans Roberson and William James Roberson of Minter City. He is predeceased by his parents and his daughter, Elizabeth Gage Roberson.

He is survived by his son, William Marion Roberson II (Ann); his grandchildren, Marguerite Elizabeth Roberson, William McLendon Roberson, Mary Farrell Roberson and Ann Eliza Roberson, all of Vicksburg; his sister, Pamela Roberson Robbins (Jim); and his aunt, Mrs. Gray Evans of Greenwood.

He also leaves a niece and nephew, plus many cousins.

Wilson & Knight Funeral Home was in charge of services.
