Blanche Knight

A celebration of life has been scheduled for Blanche Knight Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. at Greater Grove Street Baptist Church.

Blanche will lie in repose at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the hour of services. Visitation will be at C J Williams Mortuary Services Saturday from 1to 7 p.m. with family present from 5 to 7 p.m.

Blanche was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and was the secretary for 12 years. Blanche received her high school diploma from Bowman High School and she was the owner of T & A Alterations.

She was a life member of Electra Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star, a member of Scared Palm Leaf No. 84 where she served as Worthy Matron.

She is the most Ancient Matron of Evergreen CT No. 3, a member of Heroines of Jericho, past secretary of Hagar Council, Lady Knights No. 4, past secretary of Eureka Court No. 4, Daughter of Sphinx, and past secretary of Lillie Mae Pace Grand Council Lady Knights.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories; five daughters, Susan (Leon) Brown, Lelia (Charles) Stamps, Blanche I. Knight, Jacqueline (Dalven) Knight and Felicia A Knight; one brother, Eugene (Mary) Morgan; one aunt, Gertrude Harris; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
