Funeral services for Norman Jones will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Williams officiating.

Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until the funeral.  

Norman Jones passed away Thursday, Ced. 12 at his home following a brief illness. He was 87. 

He had worked at Home Laundry and the Anderson-Tully Lumber Mill.  He was of the Baptist faith.

He was a founding member of the Par Busters Golf Club and was an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Maude Jones; his wife, Barbara Cook Jones; his brother Elbert Jones; and sister Mary Ward.  

He is survived by his four sons, Willie James Jones of Hampton, Calif., Elbert Jones of Atlanta, Ga., David Lee Jones and Ernest Lee Jones, both of Vicksburg; his four daughters, Verma L. Jones and Gloria D. Jones, both of Vicksburg, Norma Lee Jones of Birmingham, Ala., and Lisa C. Jones of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister Alice Jones of Vicksburg; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
