Augustus Chambers, affectionately known as “Jack” was born to Redus and Catherine Chambers on June 23, 1944, in Vicksburg. Jack was sixth of seven children.

Augustus confessed his life to Christ at an early age, and then later joined Travelers Rest Baptist Church. Jack attended Vicksburg Warren Public Schools and became the owner and operator of E&A Masonry.

Augustus enjoyed being a father, spending time with his siblings, gathering with childhood friends in Marcus Bottom and fishing on Eagle Lake. But his greatest love of all was being a brick mason.
