Crime reports: Multiple shots fired into Beresford Street home Sunday

Multiple shots were fired into a home in the 700 block of Beresford Street Sunday evening.

According to reports from the Vicksburg Police Department, officers responded to a report of shooting into an occupied dwelling just before 8 p.m. Sunday. When they arrived, officers found numerous shell casings in the street and multiple holes in the front of the home.

None of the three people in the home at the time of the shooting were injured.

• Friday, at 3:18 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of First East Street in reference to a burglary. The resident said that someone broke into his home and stole a washer, dryer and a barbecue grill.

• Saturday, at 4:38 p.m., officers responded to Margaritaville, 1310 Mulberry Street in reference to an auto burglary. The victim reported someone smashed his driver’s side window and stole $4 and an Adidas gym bag from the back seat.

• Saturday, at 8:09 p.m., officers responded to the area of Drummond Street and Realty Street in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found no signs of suspicious activity or shots fired.

• Sunday, at 1:56 a.m., officers responded to the 3500 block of South Frontage Road in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found no signs of suspicious activity or shots fired.

• Sunday, at 9:22 a.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Avenue C in reference to a burglary. The complainant reported someone broke into his home and stole a DVD player, a VCR, VCR tapes, two heaters, two TVs and a portable CD player.

• Sunday, at 2:46 p.m., officers responded to the parking lot next to Cottonwood Public House in reference to a theft. The complainant reported someone broke into her 2012 Toyota Camry and stole $50.

• Sunday, at 2:46 p.m., officers responded to The Daiquiri Hub, 1446 Washington St. in reference to an auto burglary. The complainant reported someone broke into her 2017 Chevrolet Malibu.

• Sunday, at 3:49 p.m., officers responded to Margaritaville, 1310 Mulberry Street in reference to a theft. The complainant reported a group of juveniles came inside Margaritaville and stole cereal, candy, potato chips, Carmex and juice. They then broke into her 2018 Toyota Corolla and stole a .380 caliber handgun.

• Sunday, at 5:07 p.m., officers responded to 1 City Waterfront in reference to a stolen vehicle. The victim stated someone stole his 2010 Toyota Tundra.
