Layla Carter scored 23 points and Janiah Caples added 10 and Tiara Sims eight as the Vicksburg Missy Gators beat Pearl 59-38 on Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the Little Six Conference ninth-grade girls’ basketball tournament.

The Missy Gators went undefeated in the regular season and won the West Division title, which came with a first-round bye in the tournament.

Vicksburg advanced to play either Terry or Clinton — who play each other Wednesday — in the semifinals Thursday at 4 p.m. at Rosa Scott High School in Madison.

The tournament championship game is Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Germantown High School.
