A Vicksburg teen charged with auto burglary involving the break-ins of several commercial trucks will be held in the Warren County Jail without bond following his appearance Thursday in Warren County Justice and Circuit courts.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said a justice court judge set the bond for Cody A. Dogan, 22, who gave an address on Culkin Road, at $5,000 during an initial appearance.

Immediately after his bond was set in justice court, Pace said, Dogan appeared before Circuit Judge Toni Terrett, who ordered him held without bond on a charge of failure to appear before a grand jury on residential burglary charges in October.

The grand jury indicted Dogan on the four residential burglaries, which were committed in August. Dogan was out on bond for the residential burglaries and credit card fraud at the time of the truck break-ins.

Pace said the Mississippi Department of Corrections has placed a “hold” on Dogan for probation violation involving a criminal charge in Grenada County.

Dogan and Brian W. Odom, 29, are accused in the truck break-ins in which tools were reported taken. Odom was arrested Jan. 11. He was later released on a $20,000 bond.

Dogan and Karmen Pickering, 18, were arrested about 3:25 p.m. Wednesday when deputies acting on a Crime Stoppers tip stopped a Honda Accord without a car tag on Oak Ridge Road south of Henry Road.

Pickering, who gave the same Culkin Road address as Dogan, was charged with hindering prosecution by helping Dogan elude police.
