Crime reports: Officers respond to multiple auto burglary calls

Officers with the Vicksburg Police Department responded to a number of auto burglary calls Monday.

At 6:20 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Hildegarde Terrace in reference to an auto burglary. The victim stated that someone broke into her 2015 Buick LPR and stole a 9mm handgun.

At 7:01 p.m. officers responded to Water View Casino, 3990 Washington St, in reference to a vehicle theft that occurred at Riverside Construction. The victim stated that someone stole his 2003 Toyota Tacoma

The final auto burglary officers responded to was at  9:22 p.m. when they were dispatched to the Vicksburg Mall, 3505 Pemberton Square Blvd., in reference to an auto burglary. The victim reported someone took her Michael Kors purse from the back seat of her 2015 Hyundai Accent.

In other reports:

• Monday, at 7:46 a.m., officers responded to Kings Head Start, 200 R.L. Chase Circle, in reference to a business burglary. The complainant stated an air conditioner unit, a television monitor, two radios with CD players each and a roll of tissue were missing.

• Monday, at 11:51 a.m., officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of McCauley Drive in reference to a theft. The complainant said someone broke into a 2015 Acura TLX. Cash, a camouflage workbag, two flashlights, wireless headphones, a camera, Apple air pods and an iPhone 8SR were taken.

• Monday, at 8:48 p.m., officers responded to an address in the 1700 block of Martha Street in reference to a residential burglary. The victim reported someone broke into the home and stole four packs of Kool cigarettes.
