St. Al takes first loss of season

Larson Ingram went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, Keller Otts hit a solo home run, and Bayou Academy handed St. Aloysius’ baseball team its first loss of the season on Monday, 8-3.

Bayou (2-2) jumped on St. Al for five runs in the first three innings and never trailed. Brett Burrell pitched 6 2/3 innings for the Colts and allowed three runs on six hits and one walk. He had 11 strikeouts.

Brandon Steed had two hits for St. Al (2-1), and also allowed four runs in 2 2/3 innings pitched. Tristan Wilbanks hit an RBI double.

St. Al will return to action Thursday against Porter’s Chapel Academy. The Junior varsity teams will play at 4:30, and the varsity at 6.
