Police investigating early morning vehicle theft

Law enforcement officials are looking for two suspects connected to an early Wednesday morning vehicle theft near Dairy Queen in the Pemberton Square Boulevard.

According to information from the Vicksburg Police Department, a victim reported shortly after 5 a.m. Wednesday that a black male and black female approached him near Dairy Queen on Orme Drive asking for directions.

After the victim gave the directions, the male reportedly pulled a handgun and demanded the keys to the victim’s 2013 Chevrolet Silverado. The suspect then took the truck while the female followed in a separate vehicle.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol later recovered the stolen truck near Bolton on Interstate 20 East.

No arrests have been made.
