According to sheriff’s department reports, 911 dispatchers received a call about 4:30 p.m. from a motorist that someone in a maroon SUV apparently shot at another vehicle at Grange Hall Road and Fisher Ferry Road.

The victim later called Vicksburg police and said someone had shot at his vehicle. During their investigation, officers determined the shooting occurred just outside the Vicksburg city limits and notified the sheriff’s office.

As the man was talking to police, he saw the SUV with White drive by and he pointed it out to police.

A Vicksburg officer stopped the car and held White until deputies arrived. A search of the SUV by deputies found a 9mm handgun and drugs, and she was taken into custody.

The victim’s car was shot through the rear passenger window and lodged in the car above the man’s head. It was recovered.
