Portions of 465 reopened to traffic

Jace Ponder, public information officer for the Mississippi Department of Transportation said Mississippi 465 is open from U.S. 61 North to the backwater levee. It is closed from the backwater levee to the gin.

Ponder said MDOT crews will be working on the section of 465 between the levee and the gin.

“We’re going to do what we can when we can,” he said.
