Warren Central High School announced Tuesday afternoon that the school’s prom, scheduled for April 4, will not be held as scheduled.

In the announcement, the school said officials “are looking to possibly reschedule at a later date, but the environment is very fluid right now.”

The announcement comes in the wake of the Vicksburg Warren School District extending spring break and canceling all events in response to the threat posed by the COVID-19 virus. The extended spring break is currently extended through Sunday, March 22.

For those who have previously purchased a ticket, it will be honored at a later date or refunds will be given if the school decides to cancel the event.
