The Warren County-Vicksburg Public Library announced Saturday it would remain closed until further notice due to concerns regarding the COVID-19 virus.

“The health and well-being of our patrons and staff are extremely important to us. The Library Board of Trustees will confer shortly to discuss further action,” the library said in a press release.

The library said patrons will not be charged late fees for any items checked out and asked that items not be returned in the library’s book drop until the library reopens.

During the closure, the library encouraged residents to make use of the library’s digital services, which could be found at https://wcvpl.biblionix.com.  Under the “Electronic Resources” section, items such as downloadable books, eBooks, digital magazines, graphic novels and streaming videos are available.

Sunday, the library announced that TumbleBooks, one of the library’s vendors has opened access to all five of their online platforms to public libraries. Those platforms include:

• TumbleMath

• TeenBookCloud

• AudioBookCloud

• RomanceBookCloud

A library card is not needed to access any of these five services. Simply click the link in the “Electronic Resources” section of the library’s online catalog. The service can be viewed on a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone.
