Shooting victim airlifted to UMMC, condition unknown

A 20-year-old man has been airlifted to University of Mississippi Medical Center after being shot in the arm and torso Saturday.
According to the Vicksburg Police Department, the victim arrived at Merit Health River Region Medical Center after being shot around 1:30 p.m.
The shooting reportedly took place on Fairgrounds Street near Pearl Street.
Authorities have identified a suspect who authorities said fled the scene in a vehicle.
The victim’s condition was not made available.
