The Mississippi State Department of Health on Thursday announced 275 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2,260. It also announced the number of virus-related deaths had grown to 76.

In Warren County, the number of confirmed cases has grown to 10. That number is an increase of one from Wednesday and is expected to rise in the coming days as more testing is done locally, and results from the state’s one-day test site at Pemberton Square Mall on March 31 become available. Officials confirmed 75 tests were conducted at that site.

As of Wednesday, officials say the results of those tests at the mall have not been reported.

Surrounding Warren County, Madison Parish, La., has two confirmed cases, Claiborne County has three confirmed cases, Sharkey has three, and Issaquena County is yet to record its first confirmed case.

In Hinds County, the number of confirmed cases is 203. Overall in Yazoo County, the state is reporting 47 confirmed cases of the virus, with one virus-related death.

The statewide shelter-in-place order issued April 1 by Gov. Tate Reeves went into effect Friday at 5 p.m. Also going into effect at 5 p.m. was a series of additional restrictions announced on April 2 by Vicksburg and Warren County officials.

The local orders, which include additional restrictions on businesses and closures, including the county-controlled Clear Creek Golf Course, also include a city-wide juvenile curfew that lasts from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. each day. This is in addition to another city-wide curfew, for all other residents, that goes from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day.
